I'm almost done with the changes to my Fatboy but I'm undecided on just how far to go with the black parts. I want to keep a good contrast with the chrome. I still need to get back the a/c cover, dash, and rear axle covers from the powdercoater. My big question is the pipes. Semi-gloss black or keep em chrome? I'm also thinking about putting back the stock black hand controls and doing parts of my forward controls. Any input from you guys will be greatly appreciated as the weather is starting to break here in NY and I need to get out on the road ASAP.
I think it looks fantastic as is, but it is your ride. I like the chrome pipes, but could see how black ones would work with the look you've developed. Personally, I'd leave it as is. My two cents...
Black loks good. I like the black/chrome contrast. I too am getting black pipes soon. I have done the black on my hand controls but kept the bars chrome. See if you like it. Did the black levers, grips and mirrors is about it. pretty easy to do.
