Not Normal

I have an 06 FLSTN Deluxe. Stg I plus SE 16g double barrels ~1100 miles. Runs great! Going to have the big bore kit w/ cams installed in April. I have two issues, HD says its normal, I cannot accept this.
1. There is always an oily residue on the cyl heads, frt cyl. I clean and shine the chrome every ride and it always comes back after a ride. Might be coming from the steering tube? Grease squeezing out the bottom. Certainly should not be normal on a brand new bike should it?

2. Rear whitewall always getting something on it? Brake dust or something? right side. Seems pointless to have nice wide wht walls if I cannot keep them clean from ride to ride?

Any feedback on the two problems or pros/cons to the 95 big bore kit would be appreciated. Thanks

After my 1000 mile service the front steering head spilled grease all over the front of my bike.

I think the dealership overgreased. That might be your problem.

My ww's are also black all the time. Don't know what it is, but it doesnt get better with age so far.
Good news is, they clean in no time with Mr. Clean magic eraser.

for what its worth I just got done cleaning off the excess grease of mind; same place 06 w/600mil. I think thats exhausts residue on the W/W tires, maybe alittle rich? (my thoughts). I went to VH's pipe noe dont see that.
