spare parts
I use the parts for swapping with a few friends for something I might need.
If cash is an issue, you could always sell them on ebay. People pay some good money for a lot of parts. I have seen used parts sell for more than the price of a new part.

I threw my exhaust away. Everything else brought some pretty good coin on ebay. Selling the OEM take-off's really knocked the cost of the new add-ons down quite a bit. I was quite surprised to see what some things went for. I guess to be used for collision damage, or for just replacing some worn or faded parts, or something? All my parts were like new with 100-500 miles on them at the time though. Lot's of interest in the stock stuff for some reason (other than the exhaust - which I could not give away at the time). I was happy, the garage and basement aren't cluttered, and no regrets.
I built a shelf in the garage above the garage door - all the parts get placed up there in the boxes replacements came in - do the same with my 'vette parts - some folks just want the original stuff if/when you sell - I guess everyone's taste is different and mods I have made may not suit someone else's idea. Other than that, they just take up space
After putting the mods on my bike I knew that I would never be able to go back. I have sold more than 10 stock items on e-bay with no problem (floorboards, passenger pegs, horn cover, ect). I listed them low and to my surprise got a fair price on everything.
