Just curious, did the chrome front end come with installation instructions or did you use your repair manual?

Sorry, didn't see that the thread was resurrected. The instructions that come with the forks tell you to refer to the service manual. I pretty much read through alot of threads here and some other sites to get the info. It's pretty straight forward. The service manual actually explains disassembling the entire fork springs which you really don't have to do.

I have a bunch of links with photos and stuff if your really interested in seeing what's involved.

Don't know about the deluxe, but they ride great on my Fatty. Mine are 12.5's, but 16's are comfy too.

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about Apes but they are a really comfortable ride and make you sit up straighter and avoid back strain. I stayed at 12.5" with 2" Risers so I can't speak for anything higher. The internal wiring really cleans up the bars and with Stainless Steel cables they look great.

Ok, give me a day or two to assemble what I found and I'll post it up here in this thread and then shoot you an email. Might as well give everyone the info if it can help...
