[hr]i'll try not to kick this topic again but i need some opinions on samson fishtail mufflers. first of all are they loud. lmao
do they sound tinny.i would realy like rhineharts but the only model they make for my bike are the eagle beak mufflers and i personally think they look rediculous.
i have a set of super trp se's on now and they are way to quiet for my liking.
all replies appreciated. i noticed on flea bay that american classic are selling a set of fishtails made by (vtwin teds cycle) any one have these they are going cheap may be even worth trying regardless.
tx
Don't sound tinney to me. Nice sound but they ain't as loud as my neighbors longshots and not as loud as the rinehart staggereds I had on..... I got my samsons from american motor classics on ebay....
I had the drag fishtails on my Heritage Softail. THEY ARE LOUD, but DAMN I loved that sound. I thought it was the only pipe for my bike largely due to looks and I LOVE THE SOUND, but everyone IS different. That having been said, they do make several options from Silver Bullet slip-ons to jug-back systems complete with headers, with or without baffles...

i noticed you have true duals do you think they make a difference in sound .
By the way tx everyone for the replies and nice bikes all around.
i think i'm gonna purchaes the slip ons from american classic for now maybe add duals later.
I ahve Samson true dual fishtails on my springer classic. They arent very loud I dont think. I only compare them to my old bike which had pythons, and compared to my buddies standard which has V&H shorties......
But they have an awesome sound. At least to me. Not tinny at all, quieter at idle and a nice sharp crack when you get on it.
