Default siren install

has anyone installed the siren to the factory alarm on a slammed nightrain? it to looks like a pain because the instructions say to lift the bike up off the rear wheel, but if the shocks are compressed then do i have to take off the lowering kit?

IF it's like my 02 was (which I am not sure if it is) that is not necessary. I took off the mudguard, found the plug, undid a couple of bolts, plugged it in and put the bolts and mudguard back on. Took about 20 minutes or so.

Here you can see the siren in front of the rear wheel and
see the shocks below.

On a night train with stock suspension, you don't need to lift the bike. After you pull 2 screws from the mud guard and pull it down you have access to the area to install the siren. On a lowered bike you may not be able to pull the mud guard down far enough.
