When you ride somewhere and stop for gas or something to eat--Nobody will be standing around admiring his bike. Harleys are different and everybody knows it. If your friend had enough $ for a Harley, do you think he would be riding a Yamaha?

I ride a Yamaha and moneys not an issue. I also ride my Night Train. Theres no doubt my Roadstar spanks the sh*t out of my Harley. And is more reliable in the long run.
BUT..... You will definitly see the differance in the bikes when you go to sell them. I like metric bikes. BUT I can honestly say, unless its another Goldwing, I will not buy another metric cruiser. IfI buy another cruiser it will be a Harley. You just take too big of a hit on the resale
My .02; those of us on this site that own HD's are the lucky chosen few! However, if money were tight for me, I would still be happy riding any motorized two-wheel vehicle, even a 250 Rebel!
Having ridden an '02 Warrior for about a year, I would suggest to not try to race him. The Warrior is, hands down, a very high tech ride with lots of go features. It is classified as a power cruiser and for good reason. It will out ride most if not all bikes of its displacement and wheel base. To compare your ride to the Warrior is like comparing a hi powered single wing to a biplane... entirely different classes. So just enjoy your ride and ride safe.
I just got rid of a 1400 suzuki after my dyna and now bought a fatboy. difference between HD and big Jap bikes is build quality and technology. believe it or not, but HD knows how to build a high tech bike that looks good and makes sense. check out all the exposed connectors and cheap fittings on a Jap bike.
I had a turbo Hayabusa..... still prefer my fatboy.... At least the Hayabusa was an original creation though... the Yamaha is a wanna-be copy. Stick with your night train and tell you friend that rice is best served with a bit of curry
