Our dealer but a HD Retro seat for a Softail Custom and Softail Custom sissy bar on a vivid black Cross Bones. I like the Cross Bones with the stock seat, but I actually like it better with this set up. If I had a Cross Bones, I'd do the same thing with the sissy bar and Retro seat. Here's a link to our dealer's website with pictures of the bike. They have pictures with both the stock seat and the Retro seat. http://h-dog.com/invdetails.php?id=489
Not a fan of that style of seat, but is there anyway to shorten the springs on the stock seat. I think it would look a lot better if the seat sat a little lower.
I dont thinkk that seat works with the bones at all. fits the custom sooooo much better. nice to see dealers changing things up a bit though. Are they charging more $ for it with the retro seat?

i looked at the mounting for a couple seconds and think that even without replacing the springs that the seat could be possibly lowered 1/2" by taking out that little spacer and maybe flipping the bracket on the bottom of the seat (??)
i didn't look at it too much because i'm 6'3" and like the height
and that seat on the dealer's Bones isn't my personnal preference but i do think it looks good, it looks kinda like a Custom's seat
