Thinking about getting the Cross bones seat for my standard as its not comfortable over about 70 miles, Plus I like the looks. I know people will mention Mustang etc but Im only intrested in this seat. Thought the springs may give some extra cushioning? Has anyone got any views on this seat or pictures of it on a Standard or Custom? Cheers
There are some people who have put this seat on other bikes. try doing a search. Personally, I don't like the feel of the tractor seat, but I do think it looks bitchin'.
not going to like like anubisss said do a search i know several companys have a kit. I have the bones and i eeffffffin love the sprung seat i highly recomend it! jmho though good luck .
I priced it awhile back cause I was thinking about doing the solo springer seat ... I know the adapter pan from harley was about 350 and the seat was like 400 ... I could be wrong though ...
if i remember correctly White Guy made some leathers for underneath very effin clean but he is currently not making any more or other wise i would buy in a second!!!
the seat from a cross bones only works on 08 and later
Harley changed the frame in 08 for the rocker and cross bones if you buy that kit it will not fit 07 and lower softails. with that said you can hackit to fit I think, is that worth it on a late model softail.
anyway I have seen 3 on eBay going for around $60
if you go the eBay route make sure you ask them if all 3 components are included. seat plastic cover and a metal thingy where the springs attach too.
