Anyone ever hear about or use this product? www.seafoamsales.comGuy I know took his bike out for the first time the other day, all was fine then motor started running like crap. He brought it over to the local HD wrench and the guy sold him this stuff. Bike runs fine now. HD guy said that he had condensation in the gas from the alchol additive and this seafoam would take care of it. Now, my buddy put stabilizer in the gas before putting it away last fall. Wouldn't that take care of the moisture? Also, why would the alchol added in the gas cause moisture. Isn't why we put drygas (alchol) in fuel to avoid moisture?
Sea foam is the best injector cleaner ever made. Its what places that have injector cleaning machines use for the" secret cleaning formula". Good stuff.
Sounds like this stuff is worth trying. First i've heard of it. Still can't figure out the alcohol thing though. Should I stop using drygas in my Truck?
Alcohol has an attraction for moisture. Say , for example there's a bit of water in the tank or in a low spot of the fuel system. The alcohol and water will mix, and then in turn will mix with the fuel. If all goes well it will be burnt up in the engine. Alcohol has a limit it can hold and when it hits saturation it will dump the water and it will settle back to the bottom. Repeated treatments are needed until all water is absorbed and burned. This behaviour of attracting moisture, even from the air and possibly dumping it is a major flaw with ethenol use as well. The higher the percentage, the worse it can get. Alcohol in itself won't cause corroision, not talking about nasty *** methenol but others. It's the water that it may attract will. Ron
