Are you talking T-Bag or Nelson-Riggs type bag?

For what it's worth I've had a couple T-Bags and I currently use a Nelson-Rigg Deluxe Tourer like the one below ...

Three things I like about these kind of bags:

1. The external pockets are good for things like cameras, cell phone, maps, etc.
2. The construction is good for a motorcycle (especially if you've got a rain cover)
3. The mounting system is much more secure than using a bunch of bungie cords.

The down side of these type of bags ... PRICE! I think I paid over $125 for the bag above. You can always buy the same size travel bag (with wheels) from Wal-Mart for 1/3 of that price. Only problem is it won't have the three things listed above ... so the price gives you something you can't get on normal luggage.

There's two things I wish this bag had ... (1) better carry strap system, the current system is basically a narrow nylon strap that cuts into your shoulder. I'd like something with some padding on it closer to what you find with a backpack. (2) a little better floor so that it stands up better when partially packed or even empty. Other than that these are really good bags and seem like they will last several seasons without problem.

I love the TBags - used them on a number of trips and am always amazed at how much I can fit in them.

I have a Tbag Expandable. I can pack a weeks worth in the bag, and have the roll for extras. They are good durable bags for your money.

T-bag expandable Tahoe - great size, good features including backpack type carrying straps, which I never use, but a carrying handle on each side, which I DO use. Mounts easily and securely on the seat or rack. Also has large flat pockets that are cool for maps or other paper items, and fits a large road atlas down in the backpack strap compartment.

One idea for the straps on the shoulder. They make covers for seat belts to prevent it cutting into your shoulder, like these

They sell them at Walmart and also auto supply stores. They fasten with velcro. That might work on your t-bag as well. I don't have my t-bag yet, but if that becomes a problem I might check into the seat belt covers.
