Interesting. Can you give us some figures of how much better performance Roadhouse gives as opposed to Samson?
ORIGINAL: Luxe
I wanted some performance increase as well as looks that suited the Deluxe. The samson pipes will not help at all in the performance end of things. I went with a 2into 1 Roadhouse pipe. I love it, very retro, good performance & nice deep mellow tone.
I do not have dyno numbers but there are many, many threads complaining of the torque loss from Samson drag pipes, and nearly as many as to the benifits of a free flowing 2 into 1 system. But at the end of the day it is your ride & you should put what you want on it. I realy like the looks of the Samson 2 into 2 duals with fish tails, they look great.
Talked today with Samson Sweden and they just finished a dyna test of an Heritage. Seventeen horsepower up!
Samson true crosssover fishtails, K/N air and SERT.
I went with the Samson true duals also with the fishtail mufflers. I didn't really care about any performance gains but wanted the old style looks with dual pipes. With true duals make sure you get the torque or "power" cones to go in the head pipes or else you'll lose low end torque. I dyno'ed the stock motor and found an additional 8 hp with the Samson pipes.
Sorry no pics, but there are some on my album. Don't know how to attach and make it work...tried several times with no luck...[&o]. Also can't figure how to make larger thumbnail pics, guess I'll have to ask my son for help.

Are the cones a sampson part?
I just ordered mine so I can go ahead and get those too.
