I have made some improvements on the 2008 FATBOY. First was the headlight nacelle, then the HARLEY DAVIDSON ROAD TECH RADIO, then the security system. I am having the siren and pager installed in a couple of weeks.
Like the nacelle. Not so fussy about the radio. I find it hard to believe that in this day and age, that they couldn't have come up with something a little more subtle, and more in keeping with the lines of the bike. Is the radio a quick release setup, or is it bolted permanently to the handlebars?

dosent look like a quick release radio too me. and i dont think they make a quick release for the radio.
Don't see a nacelle just a visor ring and the radio looks awkward. I know you are proud of your rig and I don't want to sound rude but you need some guidance andinspiration on what real improvements are. Check out some of the Fatboy pics around the net.
have to agree with loader on this one ... if you're getting a Fatboy it should be about having a clean bike without any unnecessary stuff on it ... that includes first and foremost windshields, saddlebags, engine guards, radios etc., luggage racks, sissy bars and the like. Just my opinion here, but if you want all these things why not get an street/road glide or similar to begin with??
Everyone is entitled to build up any bike they want, I just don't get it ...
I have wanted a FATBOY ever since seeing Terminator 2 in the early in 1991. I finaly had the chance to buy a new bike last august. I could have chosen aROAD GLIDEor an ULTRA CLASSIC, but I love the FATBOY { the solid rims, the fenders, the whole bike }. I admit that I went a different way with setting up my bike for touring, but we should be able to make our bikes what we want and what makes us happy. I love the mods that you guys have done on your bikes, I just like my way more because it fits me and my style of riding. Either way FATBOYS RULE.[sm=biker2.gif][sm=wootwoot.gif]RIDE ON AND RIDE SAFE!
I agree...make it what you like and what looks good to you. My Heritage now has Fatboy tins since I also like the looks of them better. Everyone thinks it looks great and gets lots and lots of attention. Enjoy your new mods!!!
