This is my first HD 07 fatboy, got some questions
-the ride is a bit stiff, can it be soften,or is this normal?
-at 60-65 mph ,feels rough,ie engine
-have rush muffler on it,do the crate roughness
_thanks
change the oil to Amsol for the motor and belray for the tranny and get a dyno tune done with a fuel management and change the front tire to a Metzler. Been there had that.
The 'stiff' ride is probably just your impressions from that plank they call a seat. It looks really nice, but the one I tried out felt like they usecement instead of foam for a filler. I imagine that over time that will soften up some. Big question is are you going to want to live with it through the break in process.
The engine roughness may be because its still new and 60/65 is about as low as you really want to go with it in 6th gear. Below that the engine isn't even going 2000rpm and it canget really rough, but again that will smooth out a bit over time and mileage. After thatI have to agree with tk353, get it tuned properly with a PCIII or other fuel management system and while your at it you might as well get a better stage 1 intake/AC setup. That and switching over to one of the full synthetic oils for all three holes should help out a lot and make it perform better to boot.
