I just picked up my FXSTB today and Istill can't get the smile off of my face!
I was a Sporster rider for 15 years so this Softail thing is pretty new to me. I'd like to go Stage 1 for now and do a few little things like pegs and new hand controls and possibly braided cables. I'm really lost as far as pipes are concerned. If someone could make some recommendations, I would appreciate the help. What you get for this bike.....
Hooker FourBidden is what i got.
i did a lot of research before i got my exhaust, and i think my decision was the best possible, the pipes i got make great power and have an awesome sound. also u wont see 100 bikes with them everywhere u go. pic in sig
I've got hooker troublemakers. lots of folks have similar, but theres a reason for it! I also slammed the rear 2 inches, few other things, you'll get the bug. get in the NT photo thread, u'll see
Congrats on the Night Train purchase! Lots of choices, I went with BUB 7's, Stage 1, "Dark Collection" grips, black hand controls, mini-apes, diamond back cables, more stuff...
I have V&H Straight Shots on Reaper. I love the staggered dual look.
I've done lots of things to make Reaper mine. You will too. And every time you think you're finished, you'll find something else you want to do. It's the best addiction, EVER!!
As far as pipes got it depends on what kind of look your going for it you like the two in one look, the rineharts or the Vance n hines pro pipe are both great perfoorming pipes , if you like the duel stagger pipes, cycle shack make a great full header set up for a very resonable price, thats what i run on mine, keep in mind you will need to have a race tune installed if you want the optimun performance, make sure an experience tech installs/ creates a custom fuel map for your application.
