Been there, done that, it still sucks.

Almost did it again the other day, pant leg hooked on foot peg at a stop sign (never happened before), still shook up.

What's worse than dropping your bike? How abouthaving the mechanic drop it! My son and I were driving past a local garage/gas station yesterday and had the pleasure of watching the mechanic put up the kickstand on a bike while standing next to it. Well, it got away from him and fell over right there in the service bay. We were fifty feet away and could still see the "Oh s**t" look on his face.

i just bought mine this winter, and when it was sitting in the garage, before i ever even rode it, i pushed it forward and didn't notice the kickstand came up. i went to put it down, it fell over quite a ways, but not all the way, i couldn't pick it up, but i was able to hold it there and yell for my buddy to help me pick it up. only thing damged was my ego, like most bitch falls.
my first one was with my old suzuki. just got it home the day i bought it, wanted to see how the kickstand worked. i didn't know it had to be in neutral (i had the clutch in, not a moron), kick starter didn't move like i thought it would so i lost balance and dropped it in my driveway.

Memo. Don't get off on the wrong side. Did that on my patio in front of the garage and apparently the kick stand wasn't down enough. I got off one side and the back went down on the other. Fortunatly there was a sheet of plywood laying on the patio and the bike rested on that instead of the concrete so no damage to the bike.
