Fuel Gauge Question

Fuel Gauge Question
I got a good deal on a skull gas gauge and cap. One problem the part number indicates its for 2008 softails and Roadkings. I have a 2007 Night Train... What changed from 07 to 08 that will make the gauge not compatable?

Nothing that I know of. 07 and 08 are basically the same bike.
I have the Flush mount LED caps on mine. it's only unplugging the old gauge and plugging the new one in.
Tanks are the same and I would assume the plug is the same.

thats what I am thinking... but why would they good folks at HDhave part number 75095-05A for 04-07 softails and part # 75098-08 for the 2008 models.. If it was the same gauge (wiring)would'ent they have just wrote it up online saying for 04-08 softails??
