Default Oil Check Valve

The oil in my 06 Fatboy tends to drain passed the check valve over a period of a few weeks, if the bike is unridden. I travel a lot, so my bike will sit for2-3 weeks frequently. By that time, the oillevel is at the end of the dipstick. I know this is common on softails b/c of the oil tank being elevated above the crankcase. The oil level always returns to normal level immediately when the bike is started. My question is should I go ahead and replace the check valve, or not worry about it?

LOL be happy you dont have a old shovel head with a crankcase breather because it ends up on the floor, me personally I Just got a new xbones and havent looked in the service manuel on it, but if its like my shovel its only a spring and a ball bearing and issimple replace, dont know the facts on the new engines though yet, it might even be a little piece of crap in the check valve not letting it do its job.

I will be on the road for the month of May, with my bike home in the garage. I will check the oil level to see where it reads, after it sits overnight and again after it sits for a month.
