Default 2000 Fat Boy

I'm going to look a a 2000 Fat Boy this afternoon. Low milage, under blue book price and the right color (Vivid Black). Anyone know of unusual quirks or design features (flaws) in the 2000 year model that I should be aware of?

Good luck on your quest for your fatboy. There shouldn't be any flaws whatsoever. If this is your first Harley, you picked quite the unique model. And I'm not just saying that because I own one. There is nothing else to say about the fatboy but the number 1 choice above all of the softail models in mine and most of all softail owners. Just have your money ready in hand because your probably riding her home today. Like I said before good luck and accessorise, accessorise and accessorise because there is no stopping especially when it comes down to the FATBOY... Be careful riding her home today and drive safe. Ray

No not the 1st, I'm adding to my stable. Thanks for the reply, this sounds like a great deal! I may have to change my sign in to TexasUltraFatBoy.

Fatboys are a lot of fun, what other bikes do you own?

Man that thing is sweet! Don't have it yet 'cause the bank wouldn't release the title unless I had cash.
More questions...did the 2000 FB come as fuel inj. and carb? Which is better?

Find out if cam chain tensioners have been done or cams ahve been changed yet as they wear and need to be replaced eventually unless they have already been with gear drive cams.

Nice Fatboy! Congrats on the new purchase! I had a 2000 model Fatboy and really liked it. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
