2000 Fat Boy, 3000 Miles, How Much?
How much is this bike worth and is anyone looking. I have a friend who is fixing to trade it in on a Street Glide and the dealer is giving around $9,500. Is this a good price? It is EMACULATE. It has been maintained more than ridden. He does not know I am posting but I will tell him if that is good or not based on what you experts (the ones who have them) may think.
I have a 07 Street Glide and the wife has a 07 RK Classic and I am not sure what a 2000 Fat Boy should bring. Any help would be appreciated.
I am in NC and he is in CT.

I checked Kelly Blue Book for an average "Trade In Value" on a 2000 Softail FatBoy, and they show $8,955.
Of course you should be able to get more if it was sold to a private party, but that might take a longer period of time to come up with a buyer.
Most of the banks and financial institutes around my area use the NADA Guides to determine a realistic retail "loan value" on vehicles.
I check the NADA guide, and on a 2000 FatBoy they show an average retail value of $10,560 (with a low retail value of $8,025).

Thanks for the info. Looks like $9,500 on trade ain't too bad.

If you 'held out' you (or your friend) could probably get more, but if he is anything like me, when I decide to get rid of something and/or trade I want it to happen as soon as possible.

Good thing about letting to dealer get it is there is no advertising, no 'tire kickers', etc... You take it in, drop it off, pick up the new bike, done deal...
