Default Fatboy headlight alignment

Need some help understanding the headlight alignment instructions in my manual. Bike is a 08 Fatty and my headlight seems off ( too low). I had passinglamps installed last fall before storing the bike and got it this spring with the headlamp pointed very right. Corrected that but not sure what the right height should be. Manual is screwy for the Fattys and doesn't describe a specific height for the aligment line ( unlike other Softail models that are described as needing a line drawn 35 inched up from the floor and the bike 9 feet ( I believe) away from the wall. Do I use the same 35 inch height? What height should the passing lamps be set for relative to the headlight? Thanks for the help. Steve

Set an Xmark on a wall 35 inches in height, and 25 feet away. Sit on the bike upright, front wheel sitting on the 25 footdistance mark. Use your high beam as a reference to the mark on the wall and that should aim your headlight. Then switch to low beam to aim your passing lamps, I agree, the manual is confusing, so for my passing lamps, I just set them a little below the main beam, and off to each side respectivley to my own liking.I have an 08 FLSTF as well, and so far, so good.

Aqua, thanks very much. It seemed like that would be the height, but worth asking. I assume that the passing lamps are set at the low beam height? I appreciate the help. Steve
