Default Headlight question...

I rarely use my high beam, but Sunday night I flicked it up from low beam and boom... my headlight was gone! I mean it was on but nowhere to be seen. I believe that the beam was off to the left and right. Could the bulb holder be in sideways? Is there a picture somewhere showing how it should be positioned?

Any help will be appreciated.

Holy crap is that weird. I think I would try a new (cheap) bulb to see if you have a defective bulb.

Have you checked the adjustment of your headlight?
A lot of riders have their low beam adjusted to project the greatest amount of light on the roadway. When they flip to high beam, the beam itself is pointed up in the air, borderline squirrel hunting.

Another thing to take into consideration is vibration. I run passing lights, and I have to adjust them and the headlight every month or so because all 3 tend to wander over time
