I bought a stock ride. I purchased some shorty pipes and a stage
I air Intake. I understand I need an ignition or fuel managemnt control...what would you suggest????
Need to know what year of bike you have. My experience has shown that the download from Harley will work fine on bikes that are 2005 and earlier. My friends that have 06 and later bikes never had much luck with the HD Download and ended up using Power Commanderswhich worked great. The downside of the HD download is that if you make any changes beyondintake and pipes, you have to pay for another download again. With a fuel management system like Power Commander, Screamin Eagle Race Tuner, Thundermax, etc. you can make adjustments and get new fuel maps online as you make changes down the road.Although I have heard that the new Screamin Eagle Race Tunercan't be adjusted for free anymore. Not positive on that though. All depends on your plans for the bike and what year you have.
It's an 08 and i just bought some vance and Hines shories....also bought stage I air for install....what do I need for ignition...feul management??? can I do this myself?? I've flashed tuned and modded many mustangs and vettes. first time wrenching a bike
You can set up and install the Power Commander yourself.Jaimie at Fuel moto will even load the map you need into it before he ships it if you want. You only have to put it on the bike and you're ready to go.
