No one is posting in the softail section today, so I thought I would.
I just bought these beach bars on ebay. Harley Davidson Beach Handlebar Kit
I am off next week so I will install them then. The scoot is daily getting closer to being an ebay model. I bought the bike on ebay and most of the accessories too. not looking forward to cutting the wires for internal wiring. can I just take the plug a part and slide them through the bars and then reassemble the plug? I have buddy who is a tech I get to help me out. I have a new set of ISO grips I will install at the same time. Everything should bling with my chrome switch housings.

Tlb,

Yes, you should do it at the plug connector. It is on the RH side under the tank near the front. You can actually slide the tank back far enough to reach it without having to undo the crossover. Therefore, no emptying the tank of fuel. The plug is a six pin connector with 2 Blacks, 2 Purples and 2 Blues. Make sure to mark it properly so that you don't end up with the R on the L, etc. That would suck.

Have fun. Definitely a 3 beer job.
