My brand new 06 Classic Springer rear wheel valve stem is loosing air and the tire is basicaly flat. Im totally bummed......i thing its a warrenty issue and will call the dealer later today.
Get yourself one of those valve core removers at any auto supply store or the cap they use on a bicycle tire valve with the split top on it. The stem could just be loose.
TC is right on as usual. I worked in a chain tire store when I was in high school and I can't tell you how common of a problem this is. We used valve stem removers that were the size of a small screwdriver or you can get the simple valve stem cap kind that TC suggested. Either way get it, use it, and add it to your tool kit for the road.
Its not that....the air is escaping from the sides of the valve stem...close to the rim. Anyway, i had the dealer come pick the bike up, let them figure it out. its to new for me to be messing with it anyway.
