You could always put the screamin chicken pipes back on.

Big City Thunder makes a set of quiet baffles specifically for the Big Radius 2 into 2. They lower the volume approx. 20% and deepen the tone as well.
Part number QBL-1845
Phone number 704-847-1222

Y'all a bunch of wise apples How do the above alter performance in any way?

Didi you use he BT quiet baffles?

Are these 20% quieter from the BR original baffles or from the BT baffles?
[hr]ybn533,
No - I have not used the quiet baffles yet. I just ordered a set of these and have no actual experience with them.

Big City claims that their Quiet Series baffles (QBL 1845) reduce the volume by: 10-20% compared to the stock Big Radius baffles and 20-30% compared to their standard baffles. Additionally, they claim the tone is deepened substantially lower with the quiet series than their standard baffles, which are already lower than the stock Big Radius.
[hr]
How do the above alter performance in any way?
[hr]FXSTD,
Big City claims the mid-range performance is improved over the stock Big Radius baffles by using any of their baffles.
[hr]They also told me that the volume can be lowered even more if desired by using some of the stock Big Radius baffle in conjunction with their quiet series baffles. You can fine tune the volume by using more or less of the stock BR baffle behind the Big City baffle. They said the Big City must be installes 6- 8 inches from the end of the pipes. After I install these I will report back with some feedback.

Same problem here. I leave for work at the crack of dawn. Neighbor across the street is on the SWAT team. I think they're like 007 and can shoot you anytime, anywhere. Anyway,I have the BSS and added the quiet baffles. Quieter when riding, not much quieter at idle.

I have the Big City QB installed in mine and the bike is quieter. I installed mine six inches from the end of each pipe. I ran it this way for about a week and then I cut the stock baffles to fit behind the new ones just to see what it would sound like, and it made the bike a little more quieter. I like the sound with this setup and so far the bike is running just fine. I run a Thunder Max so I have been checking everything with my laptop with no problem areas yet.

Hi tbenson,

Can I put the QB with the original baffles as is?

I thought about welding the QB behind the original (the QB on the closer side to the engine)

other idea is to wrap the original baffles with noise reduce wrap.

what do you think?
