I have never been told that personaly, but it sounds like a load of sh*t. Last summer I was approved for and able to buy any bike that I wanted any HARLEY DAVIDSON in the showroom and I chose my FATBOY. It took me about 16 years to finaly get the FATBOY and I chose that bike. I went on a 13 1/2 hour ride and I felt awesome. The ride, the handling, the seat, and the performance and power were awesome. I have never ridden a touring bike however, I can't imagine the ride being any better. There are alot of jealous jerks out there.
short changed yeh,my a$$ was built to close to the ground, but to me there can't be a better ridin bike than the deluxe it's like riding on air.soooooo smoooooth![sm=biker.gif]
You hit the nail on the head bruddah...I spent three days dragging a salesman through the dealership looking at EVERYTHING before I made my decision...I could have bought (and afforded) an Ultra ...seriously considered both a Fatboy and a Deuce...I boughtmy Standard because the deal was too good to pass up ($1,200.00 off M.S.R.P. + "extras")...and I haven't regretted it for a second...to this day I haven't gotten one ounce of **** from anyone in regards to my choice of ride...if anything is saidit's usually"nice bike"...or nothing at all...but I see 'em looking! ...I have my bike slammed to the max (a little over 2") with the progressive 422'sand I ride all day on a Badlander seat...no complaints here.
