Default EFI guys...

Have any of you noticed a difference in the ease of twisting the throttle on an EFI compared to a carbed bike? It seems in the Sportster world that the EFI bikes have a weaker spring on the throttle body than the carbed bikes do. It seems too easy to turn, and the star adjusting wheel doesn't really fix it. Has anybody switched out the spring on the throttle body for a tougher one? My buddies 06 carbed XL1200 has a nice feel when you twist it, but my 07 EFI XL1200 feels REALLY easy.

Any thoughts...?

I never noticed any difference when I went from my carbed Sportster to my current bikes. If it's too loose, you could turn the thumb screw on the throttle lock until it tightens a little.

I have noticed no difference. You might want to look into your cable adjustment. I just put new bars on and played with the cable adjustment till it felt right.

Thanks for the advice. Maybe I just have it adjusted wrong, so I'll frig around with it. I posted this with you guys because I think the BT's have had EFI longer than the XL's, so maybe more of you have run into this. But, I'll follow your advice and see what happens. Thanks again...
