Nice one P.R., give me a call if it would be ok to come over and shoot the breeze the next time you're working on the 'Train. Took mine out today but it's still mighty cold on the fingers and nose!!! [sm=type.gif]

Ok here goes...

KBES questions
1.Solid round stock, mild steel
2. Plug welded 2 sides on each end then welded all 4 sides around on each side.
3. .120 wall DOM (overhere it's know as 2.65 mil wall cds)
4. Yea the risers are welded on, let's just say THEY BETTER WORK!!
5. I'm assuming by macjine you mean welder, mines a murex (UK brand) 240 Mig.

Hey boogie, next time you want to go for a cruise come on down!! PM me for directions!!

Ok down to buisness. Got a load of stuff going to the coaters tomorrow. Got my duece tank (perfect shape!!) finally. Didn't like the look so I cut 3 inches out of the width at the rear. Got rid of the gas gauge, lost the factory gas cap and tacked in my flush cap. lowered the tunnel by 3 inches. Guess what? The duece has a different fuel injection unit then other softails so that got reshaped as well.

Got the fender somewhat mounted, still waiting on my front offset sprocket so I can set my rear wheel spacing and get my primary back together.

Also got the pipes done, need to grind, paint and wrap them though. Kind of look like a set of crack pipes but without the $600 dollar price tag. I'll finish them up tomorow and post a pic.

Well I got her rolling for a minute, had to put the front end on to check ride height and trail. Perfect on the ride height, sits level, not high in the nose like factory. Trail is perfectly in the green from pearse's calculator, believe it was 4.25.

Got to finish up a couple of things then she'll be broke down for powdercoat hopefully next week. The next pics I post will be of the final assembily!!

Way to go, P.R., looks like you'd breeze an episode of "Build or Bust", Russell would be handing over the keys!
