i felt your pain! Had the same issue, max 45 min before hot spots occurred. Purchased a new Mustang seat with the driver backrest (a must)and recently rode 1200 miles to the HOG Rally in south Texas and never had an issue - 300+ miles per day every day and could have gone more! What a difference!!!

had the same problem...after 6 months on the stock seat on my Deluxe I put a Corbin w/backrest on....much better although the Corbin's need to be broken it...kind of stiff initially, but still better than stock....I read on here somewhere that corbin's don't need the breakin period like in the past?? In any event, go with an aftermarket seat..you'll be better off....some people have had success in having the stock seat mod'd... don't know why HD can't design a comfortable seat for the deluxe....know I know they want you to spend more $$$.
