I just got them 2 weeks ago on my 06 Heritage Softail Classic. I'm still getting used to them.
When the blades are down its hard to get to my shifter if I'm wearing my boots. Same for the brake. and they are comofrtable. One side is a little loose so I need to tighten it and they both may need to be raised up the crash bar a 1/4 to half an inch.
They look good Ill try to post a pic when I can.

I put the switchblades on mine, don't use the switchblade part of it much but I do like the width of the pegs. Lots more comfortable than the stock pegs. If I were to do it again I would look closely at the swingwing pegs instead. The switchblades make me put my feet straight up and down to get my heels in the stirrup, kinda uncomfortable to me. I do ride with my feet kinda pigeon-toed when I have the blades down just resting my heel on, not in, the stirrup. It works for me.

You can rotate them to make them feel right. Flip the heel rest down and look into the end of the peg. You will find an allen head bolt. Just loosen it and rotate the footpeg to where it feels good. Don't be shy about trying different rotation angles, just a little bit of change can feel totally different when riding. Don't forget to tighten it down real tight. As stated, they can rotate down away from your foot if it is a bit loose.

What Bluetoys said... You can align them for the best comfort.. I love mine.. Only use the heel rest on long rides and they're NICE.. Even folded up they are a ton more comfortable then stock pegs..

What i'm trying to say is that with the blades down to rest you heels in the stirrup and keep your feet entirely on the pegs your feet must be "straight", not necessarily straight up and down but straight inline with the stirrup. Am I making any sense or just babbling??LOL!

When I mounted mine, I left them just snug, with the heel piece extended, and slightly high. Went for a ride and put just enough pressure on the heel to rotate them to where they were most comfortable, then tightened them up firm. I don't use the heel pieces to hold my feet, just to rest them on. I'd likely run them on any bike I could, I like them that much. The only down side I've found is that they can extend when you drag them hard. Hasn't hurt them yet, but I'm expecting to break them eventually. Guess I could slow down, but I think NOT! You'll enjoy them.

I put the swingwings on my bike. They are awesome for highway riding but have a couple of drawbacks.

It's almost impossible to flip them in or out by foot. Most of the time I have to be stopped and reach down and open or close them.

I've already hit them twice on tight corners. If I could flip them in with my foot, this wouldn't be an issue but they do stick out about 10 inches when extended.

I wanted to do the switchblades as a buddy of mine has them and absolutely loves them, but I needed more stretch and the swingwings were a much cheaper alternative to extend forward controls and then switchblades
