Scraping floor boards
I scrape every time I ride. I have this kickass u-turn on the way to my house that is three lanes wide. I go burning through there at night and sparks fly everywhere. I love it.
I have tightened the bolts too much before while re-installing my boards, and it did make them too stiff to pivot. When they are that way, they will still pivot up in a turn but then they won't want to go back down. You ought to check and see if that might beyour problem.
I do like the idea of putting some rod on the bottoms of the boards for the light show. I've wondered to myself before how to do something like that, so thanks for the idea guys!

No sweat in 1989 I bought my 1st psuedo baggera 1990 Heritage on 50 or more cruises from San Bernadino to Chad's Place in Big Bear I left a trail of sparks for miles. Replaced the floor boards 3 times in over 90,000 never tipped the beast over or even close. Ride On![&:]

Piece of angle iron, steel or titanium, with a couple of small holes. Either drill the side of floor board, or through the bottom. Small bolt w/ nut and washer to the board plate, which will be covered by the rubber pad.
Change out the iron when they grind down too far, before you grind on the board again. Simple and cheap, with tons of sparks.
