have not gotten any yet, im still researching. im looking at the
v&h big radius black. i will post when i make my decision. my first bike,
and probly the only one, so im still doing my research..
thanks..
I went with the V&H Shortshots, it really opened up the back end of the bike(I like to be able to see the rim and spokes). Have the SE aircleaner, also went with the V&H fuel pack. All I had to do to make it fit was remove the plastic ribs on the bottom side of the seat pan. Everything will then fit on top of the battery. I am sure someone will manufacture a slightly taller seat pan in the future.
I put on the V&H big radius pipes and a stage 1 kit through the dealer. Dyno numbers were very good and the sound is like a p 47 in takeoff--neighbors hate me or envy me.
I would recommend visiting with the dealer so you get remapped correctly unless you have a good after market shop you trust. People love the pipes in the flat black and like the sound even better. There are some nice pipe treatments in the forum--becomes a matter of taste. Will send some photos when time permits.
I'm thinking about the V&\\;H RSD Tracker 2-1 plus the SE Heavy Breather on my new X-Bones. \\; Anyone actually used the RSD? \\; Even better, anyone have pictures?
Just a FYI, and need a second opinion here.....I spoke to my service writer this afternoon, and asked about girggling and popping on decel. He said its ok, unless its getting progressively worse.
 \\;
Claims this to be the usual case with slipons, including SE eagles until they really get broken in.
 \\;
The decel popping always when coming downhill not so much on straight away, and in the 4th gear. \\; Am I running to lean??
Have the sert, but have not dyno yet.... may invest in a complete exhaust system in the winter time. I finding it unusual for him not to even request to bring it in to check it out??
 \\;
I smell a long term major service bill in my future perhaps?
