Sorry AGRVd but your wrong about my bike sitting in the garage.I just sold an 05 Ultra that had 35K miles on it. Before that I sold an 02 Heritage that had 28K miles on it. Every year my son and I leave MD. and go west, southwest to Grand Canyon up thru Utah, Idaho, Montana, (ran the Beartooth Hwy CW & CCW ) then loop back thruWy. and home. Been up into northern BC and Alberta twice. Of course we usually stop in Sturgis and Rapid City on the way back. Anything less than 6000 to 6500 miles on a 15 day trip and my son says that I didn't do a verygood job ofmapping thetrip. I'm not counting the 1500 to 2000 milers I do with friends down south to Alabama or north to Maine.
Iaskedthe question on my original post to get some feedback as I have just bought this new bike and am trying to get it ready forour summer trip west. The Ultra spoiled me as far as wind buffeting with the Lower Fairings and thought I could get some info here. Didn't know the 3rd hole question would bug anyone. I do like my bike to look great at least untilI hit the first rainstorm.
I have those on my Heritage. If you speak of this hole, then you do not want the KuryAkyn's either.
Some folks have commented they believe these units are one and the same as the Harley.
I agree with Hrd Rider, it looks like crap. Wouldn't have them on my bike looking like that. The MoCo shouldn't have made it like that but since they did, you gotta find make your own workaround.
Hrd Rider, Good post as I was wanting the deflectors for my '06 Heritage that I just bought. Good to get a 'heads-up' on a product before I put out my cash. Is yours like the pic that SamBel posted ??
I seen a guy that cut the bolt head off with a dremel. Then he used a little JB Weld and glued the bolt head over the hole. Worked great and looked good. Sounds kind of jimmy rigged but it looked good.
