Hi,i has anyone who has a 2007 fxstc had a problem with the plastic number plate bracket scraping against the the tire, over hear in england the police make you use a 9x6inch plate,i was made to ditch my smaller plate recently and found that the base of the holder has a obvious wear mark where the tire has been scraping.i do not overload and the wife is only very small so this should not happen and need to take it back to dealer and would like to know if anyone has had the same problem cheers tom uk.
I haven't had a problem and my wife is 150# or so.
Be sure you are running full air pressure. If you are runningreal low it will let the tire "stand up" or expand around the middle from centrifical force at higher speeds. I don't think it could rub from too much load. Remember that you have a 200 series tire on thereand it don't take much air pressure for it to look like it has enough air.
just a quess on my part but I would air up the tire to the cold air pressurelisted on the side of the tire.
i had a similar problem on mine but the only thing catching was the extra reflector strip that ran along under the plate. i removed that and the problem was solved.
