I run between 36 - 40 psi in front and 38 - 42 psi in rear tire.

That depends on the tire. My metzler 888 front I run 36-38. Rear 888 I run 46-50.
Ps...I love the new 888 , the 880s for the front were *****!

Stock tire should be 30F/36-40R. If you're running a different tire you will need to consult the maker of the tire for proper inflation.

40/40. Been running this way for 62K on my Ultra. Started with stock tires, then Comander 2s, then another set of Dunlop D402s, now American Elite 3s. Never a problem.

That may be fine for an Ultra, but he asked about a Sportster that is half the weight.

Do you guys run the max psi of your vehicle tires or go by the vehicle manufacturers specs in the glove box or inside of the door? Haha Doesn’t matter what the tire says as long as its capable of holding the air pressure recommended by the manufacturer. Same goes for motorcycles. Tell me i’m wrong....

no it doesn’t, not as long as the max tire psi isnt lower than the model of sportster it calls for.

On my Jeep I go 36 all the way around even though it calls for 35 front/32 rear.
