Default Creaking from strut/spring on swingarm.

I pulled my Fatty into my stall after work today to check out a creak thats been getting worse. Finally traced it to where the spring/strut assy is attached to the swingarm. Starting to drive me nuts. Anyone else have this issue? Going to take it in. The dillweeds cant try and tell me it aint warranty!

Default RE: Creaking from strut/spring on swingarm.

It's pretty common.. probably just a dry shock bolt. the bolt goes through both shocks and the mount bushing on the swingarm. they should have put a grease fitting in there.. You could take the bolt out and lube it up.. or have the dealer do it on your next service..You need a lift to get the pressure of the shock bolt andyou need a pivit socket extension to get onto the nut cause there is no room for a wrench.. My 2006 FAtboy and my buddies standard have the same issue. They creak when you sit on the bike.. I don't notice it while riding.. Good luck.. Ride safe... Good luck with the warranty, I think it's a maintenance/service thing...
