Keep the Heel shifter. Once you learn how to use it you will think every bike should have one. Remember Heel for Upshift and toe for downshift. I shift fast with the heel also.

if you want to go through the gears quickly don;t use the clutch.

yeah the shifter is to close togather too my feet wont fit between them, and neutral is hard to find when the bike is knew mine is an 08FLSTC also. most are right after first service had better oil put in and learned to just tap the heel to find neutral, very easy now my first harley and second bike by the way.hope to have some pics soon. ride safe all.
Took my heal shifter off after my pants leg got caught on it at an uphill, off camber stop sign.I think thats theonly thingthat wasnt damaged when it dropped. OUCH!!
