Default 2008 FXSTC Saddlebag support brackets

I just purchased a new Softail Custom. I installed a luggage rack and am using one of T-bags saddleroll type bags with it. It works well, but I need more storage space. I found a set of Saddlemen thow over type bags that I really like. Drag Specialties does not list a support bracket for 08 models. They have one listed for 07 though. My queston is are 07 and 08 FXSTC models exactly the same or were there any design changes between the model years that would prevent the 07 bracket from working on the 08? I'm hoping that Drag Specialties just has not updated their website, but want to make sure before ordering. I will contact them directly if needed, but I would like to find out from someone who knows for sure, other than a product specialist that may make an educated guess.

Thanks

Since I own the 07, I've looked at the 08s to see changes. The only obvious thing that was different to me was the front brake line running to the caliper. The *** end should be identical.

I have an 07 Softail custom. I could not find any brackets at the time my bike was new. I made some that kinda worked but I regret ever doing the throw over thing. My advise to you is make sure you line the leather ( the part that touches the fender ). My fender has rub spots on it. I have tried to rub it out but you can still tell. I bought a set of solid mount bags from Harley. The synthetic kind. $400. They work perfect. I am going to sell my River road throwovers for 1/2 what I paid for them $75. Let me know if you are interested. I personally have not seen any difference in the 2 model years. Good luck.
