Default 08 FATBOY intake?
I just got a 2008 Fatboy and have put V&H longshot on it. I am now wanting a intake for some performance and looks. My question is what is the best one to get?

I am new to the Harley world coming from sportbikes. So help me out guys.

I used the K&N kit. Most kits will give more air available than your engine will use. The main thing to think about is if you want to keep the football cover or use a round one. The K&N uses the football and a round one will not work. Not sure about other kits, but this is about the only difference .

On my '08, I had the SE AC put on, but the filter started coming apart after about 600 miles. Changed it out for a K&N filter and no problems. Plus, I was able to get rid of the football and put on the round AC cover. Looks a lot better IMHO, and I got a matching horn cover on the other side.

I have the SE and havent had any poroblems. I have a little over 2500 miles on it.

Do you have to reprogram with the big sucker if you have the stage I already?
