08 FXDB air cleaners?

08 FXDB air cleaners?
What air cleaners work with the 08 Street Bob?
I was just going to take off the stock cover and leave it at that for now, but i didn't realize that they changed the stock cleaner from round to some odd shape i dont even know how to describe. So, i have to get rid of the stock for something a little less... well... stupid looking. and at least now i'll get a little extra performance out of it too.
but there are just too many damned options and it doesnt seem like any of the online stores really know what fits what.
so, what works? i'll be using a TMax with auto-tune, if that makes any differance to what you would recommend.

yea, i hate the huge cover that is on there now. i was just goint to remove the cover and leave the filter exposed, but since the filter is actually less attractive than the cover, i just want to replace the whole damn thing

Here's what I've heard:
* Big sucker gets good comments.
* SE gets good comments too, but better if you swap the filter with KN. Columbia HD in Vancouver custom-assembles a moco SE kit that already has the KN round filter for about $120. CAN USE FOOTBALL COVER
* KN 3909/3910 gets good comments for function, but some think the backplate is crappy. CAN USE FOOTBALL COVER
* Can go with tuned air, but $$$. Haven't seen dyno sheets to justify cost. Gotta use a "rain condom."
*Unless you really think they look cool, don't expect more from the fancy stuff than you could get from the moco stage 1, on a stock motor at least. Those heads can only pull so much air, and the SE filter has more capacity than the stock 96 already.
Some others get good comments, but harder to find maps that match. Auto-tune function might be okay to correct for these anyway. Dyno tune would be best. Search for Trotter's posts.

i've got the kuryakn hi-five and like it a lot
on the next go round i'd prolly go with a doherty machine power pacc
i like any of the intakes that have the venturi to smooth the air out, the hi-five, power pacc and k&N mentioned above all have a venturi

i can't seem to find one that isn't for a Twin-Cam 88 on there. The main page you linked me to says they work for all EFI '01-'07 Harleys, but I am only seeing ones for the 88 c.i. engine. is there no differance in air cleaner between the two?

When I get the time I am going to take the stock air cleaner cover off and make a flat ribbed one or something. It will go flush to the outer seal.

yup, that power pacc will work on yer 08, i called over to doherty and chatted with them when i was shopping intakes, good folks over there and happy to help, they will make sure you get the right setup.
pretty much any of the intakes mentioned here already will work for your 2008 even though the part # is only showing up to 2007 or even 2006.
