Maybe you should be burning rice . Take a demo ride on&nbsp\\;a VRod.

Harleys ain't about speed! I've owned snow sleds with 180 hp, and thats at 500lbs. FAST! Building a Harley to be fast cost way to much, and if you do make it truley fast, I doubt it would be easy to live with. Its just&nbsp\\;MHO, and take it for what its worth=.02$&nbsp\\;

What year was your 1200?&nbsp\\; If you didn't think that was fast I doubt there is a big twin in the inventory that will satisfy you.&nbsp\\; If you want to stay in the Harley family or at least in the neighborhood you might throw your leg over a Buell or V-Rod.

Previous posts said it, if fast is your main requirement then you need a Vrod, but if you like to cruise at normal speeds like an adult then you would probably love a Softail, mine is plenty fast for me, but I hardly ever do burnouts or wheelies at 80 MPH, although I do run WOT now and then, just for the hell of it! Happy trails.

i love the look of the nt and the base fxst, but if the performance is subpar i will probably just go with a new or newer dyna superglide 07/08.

I'm sure you realize the softail and dyna engines are basically the same except for the counterbalancer and a few other details. If the softail isn't fast enough, I don't think the marginal performance improvement of the dyna will impress you.

IMHO there is no comparison between a sporty and the big twins.&nbsp\\; I had a sporty that was highly modified and it was a ball to ride.&nbsp\\; However the power and torque on the bigger bikes are what makes a Harley a Harley.&nbsp\\; One test ride will do the trick.&nbsp\\; Borrow a friends or even rent one for a day.
