Boots,leather jacket,and my chaps if i'm going more then 50km from home had to many rocks off my knee's \\; and my skid lid and a good pair of gloves(where i leave if you don't wear chaps on the highway your pants \\;look like \\;$*#@ from all the bugs on them)just my 2 cents Has nothing to do with trying to look cool,i ride 160km to and from work everyday and so better safe then sorry
Uhm, usually OP shorts, tank top and Nike tennis shoes. Yeah, almost 48 years old, rode dirt since I was 10, street since I was 17, and have been down more than once.
 \\;
I don`t ride like I used to, but have some good experience to draw from. It`s too hot here in So. Cal to wear jeans and a jacket for a day putt.
 \\;
Of course, it also depends on where I`m headed and how far. Long freeway rides usually merit more clothes and protection.
 \\;
That`s just me though... I've been living on borrowed time for 28 years or so, and I thank the good Lord for that!

Roger
Besides - I`ve seen fools killed wearing more, and survive without a scratch with less... it`s all up to the good Lord and His plan in the long run.

In a nutshell- \\; wore shorts to the HD dealership the other day. \\; Took highway bypass loop around town. \\; Bee up shorts- stung me three times right next to the boys, 70 MPH to 0 in 4 seconds. \\; Riding buddy stopped/watched/laughed. \\; Lesson learned.
Jeans boots and shirt tails flappin in the wind. \\;\\\\\\; Add a jacket when its cold. \\;\\\\\\;
 \\;\\\\\\;
When I'm on the ZX-10R behind me, I'll wear a padded jacket and gloves regardless of temperature.
 \\;
Totally depends on where im goin.. If im headin to work and its a hot day.. yeah prob gonna wear shorts and ride like a defensive old granny.. Cuz if its 90 outside its over 100 inside the plant.. But riding around to relax.. Boots, Jeans and a t-shirt.. With my skid lid of coarse.. Thanks Georgia DOT laws..
