I have the sport touring mustang seat with 12000 miles and I have no wrinkles but if I could change seats I would go with the corbin I have rode with both and the corbin is deffently the better and more comfortable seat.

mines got a big wrinkle accross the seat it happened after only a few rides.
I put it down to the material but then all my other bikes never did this.

I would have sent it back but the post from the UK would not have been worth it.
the seat in its self is very comfortable with the rear rest, may at sometime try and get it stretched.

I can't say it is garbage it is the most comfortable seat I have tried yet.

I dropped the somewhat comfortable stock seat on the 07 for the sundowner, then went to the HD two up seat with back rests and the new signature (sundowner) seat with the back rest.

Best of all the HDtwo up seat (HD 51562-00A)was the best until the Mustang.
The HD stock seat was good for about an hour the two up for about two hours before it starts to burn. The Mustang took about four hours and was still comfortable but starting to burn a little. Back rest is the best of all so far.

The company rep Ami is consulting with the tech. It seems they use another firm to build the seat. I am hopeful that they will resolve this but if not Iwill buy the Corbin.

Hi Mike –
I am waiting for my head tech to call in from Americade. If I don’t hear from him by early this afternoon, I am going to call him. I will let you know as soon as I hear something.

Ami

By my count that's 4 different seats (stock, 2up, sundowner, mustang) and your *** ain't happy yet. Might be cheaper and more effective to justget some surgical gel implants inyour ***.

Hope Mustang is at least covering the return shipping cost.

I have a Mustang solo on my Deuce, almost the same seat but only fits a Deuce, but I never saw it new. It came with the bike. Now however, the only marks I ever see on it are the ones from the seem in my jeans, and they go away within 20 minutes of getting off the bike. Very very comfortable seat though.

Just trying to share the info and help someone else avoid the expensive trip, Mustang beats all hands down. I think that's the point of the forum.

It is always nice to have a contribution even if it is only to demonstrate your awesome math skills.

Thanks!

Thanks ImYrHklbry.

I still like the seat andinitially thought it was typical. After speaking with the company they advised it is the way the second layer of foam sets up ...will attach itself to the vinyl and once sat on it rips away leaving a depression. My seats were smooth until used and now remain with the impression.

Just trying to lighten your misery with a little humor.Meant no offense. And yes you may haveindeed saved others from an expensive trip.Me in particular. I'm in the market for abackrest seat and had considered Mustang. You always hear how so worth the money they are. 3 seats later and they still can't correct your problem. Not for me.

thanks for the heads up.

Sorry for the short reply.

I now own the stock seat, the HD two up and the Mustang (actually have three right now). Save your money and go straight to the Mustang. The HD seat was okay but only short term. It did move you forward but not up like Mustang.

I have not purchased a Corbin but have tried it and found it a little hard but good postioning...seemed to me to be back and lower where the Mustang is higher and a little forward. You can compensate for that move forward by opening up the back rest so it is fully back.

Others who have tried it found that with the stock and the HD their feet were flat on the floor with the Mustang it was tip toe.

Mustang has sent UPS labels for the two replacements and is working on a fix. The wrinkles are not really bad esp when you are sitting on them but for a new seat at $730 it should be like the others. I think they will come through.

My best additions(besides stage 1) were the fork wind deflectors, the throttle mate (poor mans cruise control) and throttle wing.
