I haven’t tried anything but Harley seats, but someone on this form was complaining about Corbin customer service as being less than satisfactory.

I might agree...

I called Corbin to discuss thier seat and thier return policy. They have NO return policy. He said if you bitch and moan enough they have been know to do so but generally you buy it you own it. They will repair it however. He reminded me that they sell "custom" built seats.

Mustang has still not called back so I cannot say the problem has been resolved but they are good about sending me replacements and charging my card as an open order....won't hit my card unless I do not return within 30 days...and they did send ups labels so I guess for service I would say they are far better...

I have the Mustang one-piece. No problems with wrinkles. I also have a Corbin - need to warn you that these seats are not even in the same firmness class as Stock or Mustang - almost as firm as a 2X4 - guys either love them or hate them.

Would continue to work with Mustang. Can't they run a test or something on the seat before they ship it to you? Or find a seat from a different lot number - maybe a slightly older seat doesn't have this glue problem.

Ami just called back from Mustang and said she still awaiting word from the tech...they are at Lake George for Americaid.

I plan on waiting for resolution I like the seat.

They said they have a warehouse full on the shelf and just take the next one. The separation is not apparent until the vinyl is compressed or sat on. Then it has trouble as the vinyl streches and does not return to shape.

Here it is after the first ride...

In the event it is thought that it might be my weight here it is with me on it about two weeks later on the top of Hog Back Mt in Vt. heading to NY...Could be the weight of that big helmet!

We don't have a helmet law in NH...

I have a Mustang seat on my bike, and had it reworked by a local upholstery shop. Feels great and there is no seperation.

cost me 150 to have the seat reworked with gel for the passenger as well as the passenger backrest re stuffed and covered.

Sorry for the short reply.

I now own the stock seat, the HD two up and the Mustang (actually have three right now). Save your money and go straight to the Mustang. The HD seat was okay but only short term. It did move you forward but not up like Mustang.

I have not purchased a Corbin but have tried it and found it a little hard but good postioning...seemed to me to be back and lower where the Mustang is higher and a little forward. You can compensate for that move forward by opening up the back rest so it is fully back.

Others who have tried it found that with the stock and the HD their feet were flat on the floor with the Mustang it was tip toe.

Mustang has sent UPS labels for the two replacements and is working on a fix. The wrinkles are not really bad esp when you are sitting on them but for a new seat at $730 it should be like the others. I think they will come through.

My best additions(besides stage 1) were the fork wind deflectors, the throttle mate (poor mans cruise control) and throttle wing.

Is that a typo? $730?
