Default 2006 Night Train Mods!

Hello all, I am looking for some advice on some additional mods I want to make to my night train. Please respond with any advice or past experience on the following mods:

1) I would like to extend my forward controls by 3". Any suggestions on where I should start to look (I don't like the factory extensions because of the large plate that would hang down).
2) I have been reading some of the posts about lowering the rear by 2". I think I want to do this to my ride. Any sugestions about safety or parts that should be used. I will probably be having a HD shop do the installation.
3) Any thoughts on the rear tail light / license plate holder. I would like to show off the wider rear tire more. I have seen the Joker Machine parts but I wanted some other advice on side mounted plates and a new tail light that does not cover up the rear tire as much.
4) Anyone found any new wheels for the 200mm rear tire? Please send some suggestions if you now of any.

Sorry about all of the questions but I figured this is the best place to get some really good info.

Arlen Ness makes good forward control extensions.
As far as plate and Tail light check into combo plate/tail light like the one on my bike below. (This one is no longer made) Other companies have similar type plates. Check JP cycles online. Get one that is LED. Much brighter than bulb tail lights

The ness forward controls work great ($189 list, can be had for cheaper on ebay, etc.)
I just lowered mine 1.5" and it rides a little stiffer, but not much worse than stock.
Hogpro ( a sponsor on this site) has alot of nice selections for the 06s.

Just did the ness extension myself and its a must, got mine for $170, drag specialites Cat# through M$M cycle. Im looking at doing the lowering kit also, these are relatively cheap, but some work is invovled and you may need a press, search on this site for more info.

Just wondering, The Ness kits everyone is talking about. This the kit that is just the plate that moves the pegs forward and a new brake line for the rear brake? Paying $189-$170 for??

I had mine put on by dealer when I got bike last May and it was only $99 bucks. The ones I got are black. The dealer actually did me a favor and recommended these as the ones I had picked out from HD where almost $300. and the dealer told me the Ness ones where the same thing only way less in price.
