Yeah it was reasonable. But consider you could have bought a 10mm end wrench for $10 chromed and done it yourself in the parking lot. BTRW the cruzen mini tool kit is only $40 and includes the 10mm and is easy to carry around.
It probably did take them nearly half an hour to chenge it. I have had to pull the battery out of mine a fgew times for mods and such and untill I put a pair of zip ties around it for handles it took nealry forever to work it out of the tight space its jammed into.

[sm=goodidea.gif] I've always wrestled it each time. Thanks for the info! This is one reason why this forum is invaluable to me!
Dont know about your fatboy, but the battery on mine is easy to get out with no wrestling. \\; It just sits there in the open under the seat. \\; I had my battery go bad on the road, went and got a new one and changed it in the parking lot. \\; Took longer to get my wrench out than to change the battery.
While I know they have to eat, something as simple as a battery change should be a freebie. \\; Kind of like Autozone does, buy a battery, windshield wipers or tail light bulbs and they will install it for you.
I mean they almost all cahrge full MSRP, they are making plenty of money so this should be something that they do for free for their loyal customers.
I had to put a new battery in mine a couple weeks ago cause the guy I bought it off of never rode it.
Think it took me that long to get the seat off and back on....
I think its understandable that for the first time it could take someone a little time to get it off strap and all, but the shop guys should be able to do it in their sleep. \\; I know I can since I have had it off about a dozen time trying seats, and other stuff out. \\; Now, dont get me wrong, I dont think the shop guys shouldnt get paind, but I do think the dealer should do this as a freebie especially when you factor in the cost of the battery ($124.00). \\; Yes, that was the price they charged me. \\; They said there was a big jump in the cost of the batteries just before I bought mine. \\; Later that week I found the same one at another dealership for 40.00 less!!.
