Default Handle Bars

Question: I have an 05 Heritage Softail and I want to change my handle bars to the style of a wide glide. Don't know how to describe what I am after, but some sportsters have them. They come up towards the rider and droop down. Real cool feel. Can I put wide glide bars on my heritage without changing the cables? Anyone tried this? THanks......

A Wide Glide has mini apes on it, are you sure you are not looking for the bars that come on a Softail Standard?

The type of bars you're after are mini-apes. I put a stock set off an '02 Wide Glide on my '05 Night Train (see my sig pic), and I did have to replace the cables/brake line with longer units, but since my bike came with drag bars, the cables were shorter than those on your heritage. I believe that you wouldn't need new ones and the handlebar swap should be straightforward. You should still measure to make sure, though.

Cheers!

You're right, your picture is of the ones I want. I hate the stock bars that came on the Heritage, but love the bike. Thanks for all your help!
