Well, I've been waiting for my new ( and first ) Harley to arrive at my dealer since April. Called him last week and he told me it would be shipped on June 20th. I figure I will be riding by the end of this coming week and he said dont plan on it until after July 4th. \\; I know there is nothing I can do, it shows up when it shows up, but wouldnt you think it would take less than 2 weeks to deliver a bike, I am within a days drive of the factory. The excitement is about to kill me!!!!!! I'm done venting for know.

if it is an 08 model then it wont be coming from the factory. They are most likely trying to locate one for you from another dealer and they are having a hard time getting the price they want. My dealer has bought as many 08 as they can find because they know they will have them sold. What model are you looking for?

When I first talked to the dealer about the particular bike I wanted (heritage in white pearl / pewter pearl) he said he was getting one more in that color but it wouldnt be shipped until mid June, I was assuming it was coming from the factory cause it was on his shipment list.

I almost got one like that. It is a popular color. My sportster was that color. Be sure they give you a great price like 500 under msrp and 50% off the delivery and get the 1000 mile thrown in with synthetic oil. They will do that.

My dealer gave me the bike at msrp plus sales \\;tax, through in new seat, floorboards, battery tender and gave my wife a 350.00 leather coat. I can live with that. Visited 5 dealers in my area and it was by far the best deal.

I placed an order for an '08 and the dealer could not give me a ship date for 3 wks. I finally said screw it and found my '06. It seems like for 18k they could at least least tell me when it would ship from the factory. jmho...
