Cant stand the wait.
Well my bike wont be ready until next wednesday and it is killing me. I have read evey post on this board, memorized the h-d parts book and planned my first ride. Im going crazy. You would think I am waiting to bring home my first born son. This is my first bike and I am so excited. Any of you guys remember the feeling of picking up your first bike? Does any of that excitement go away on your next purchase?? I sure hope not. Makes me feel like Im 9 years old on Christmas eve. Funny how a machine can do turn a man into a giddy boy. Well I better go call the dealer and make sure every thing is going ok.

Can't say the feeling goes away. I was just about as excited about the one I just bought as I was about getting my old '87 Heritage, or the '95 Roadking, or the not even running Cushman that I traded for back when I was 12

Man clammy 7 months, that sucks. Not to add salt to the wound, but all 4 dealers around me in connecticut have night trains in stock, The dealer I bought mine from had a black cherry pearl on the floor, which I really liked, but wanted the black pearl, so I figured I would have to wait a while. He punched up his inventory and had one in a crate in the back of the store, F.I. with alarm, just what I wanted, had it delivered the next week-Jan 15th.
Now I know this is bumming you out, but me too. I have yet to ride it, start it, or even see it since it was delivered, and stored for winter. Soon for both of us i'm sure.
